Terms of Use

1. Acceptable Use

You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must be a registered user to create content, make purchases, or interact with other users. Creators (chefs, home cooks, farmers, nutritionists, food lab testers, tasters) must accurately represent their role and qualifications. You are solely responsible for your use of the Platform and any content you post, share, or transmit.

2. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Platform to:

• Post, share, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Engage in any automated data collection, scraping, crawling, or extraction of data from the Platform without our prior written consent.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code that may disrupt Platform functionality.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Platform, including authentication, rate limiting, or access controls.
• Send unsolicited promotional messages, spam, or chain letters to other users.
• Create multiple accounts for the purpose of evading bans, manipulating votes, or inflating engagement metrics.
• Sell or transfer your account to another person.
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose outside of the authorized creator and seller tools provided.
• Collect, harvest, or store personal information of other users without their consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers connected to it.
• Manipulate auction bidding, fake reviews, or engage in any form of market manipulation.

3. Content Guidelines

All content posted to the Platform must comply with these guidelines:

• Originality: All content must be your own original work. Do not plagiarize recipes, copy videos, or use content from other platforms without proper authorization and attribution.
• Accuracy: Recipes, nutritional information, food safety guidance, and product descriptions must be accurate and not misleading. Clearly label allergens and dietary information.
• Safety: Do not promote unsafe food handling practices, dangerous cooking techniques, or unverified health claims. Clearly warn about potential allergens in recipes.
• Appropriateness: Content must be suitable for a general audience. No explicit, violent, hateful, or discriminatory content. Food content should be the primary focus.
• Transparency: Sponsored content and paid partnerships must be clearly disclosed. Affiliate product promotions must be labeled.
• Respect: Be respectful in all interactions. Constructive criticism is welcome; personal attacks, harassment, and bullying are not.

4. User Conduct

You are responsible for all content you post and all interactions on the Platform. You must treat other users with respect and dignity. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

5. Creator-Specific Responsibilities

Creators have additional obligations:

• Chefs with restaurants must self-declare ownership and provide accurate restaurant information. • Farmers must accurately describe products, including origin, freshness, and certifications. Products must comply with local food safety regulations. • Nutritionists must hold valid professional qualifications. Nutritional advice is informational only and does not constitute medical advice. • Food Lab Testers must follow proper scientific methodology and provide accurate, unbiased results. • All creators must respond to orders and requests within reasonable timeframes. • Creators must not artificially inflate their metrics. • Menu voting results should be honored in good faith.

6. Food Safety Disclaimer

CookWoW is a platform that connects food creators with their audience. WE ARE NOT A FOOD MANUFACTURER, RESTAURANT, NUTRITIONAL ADVISOR, OR FOOD SAFETY AUTHORITY. We do not inspect, verify, or guarantee the safety, quality, or accuracy of recipes, nutritional information, farm products, meal orders, food lab results, or tasting evaluations. Users consume food and follow advice at their own risk.

7. Health and Medical Disclaimer

Content on the Platform, including nutritional advice, meal plans, and dietary recommendations, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek qualified healthcare advice. CookWoW and its creators are not liable for health outcomes from Platform content.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The Platform and its original content are the property of Asas Albahth Commercial Company. Users retain ownership of their own content but grant us a license as described in our Terms of Service.

9. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and maintaining account security. Use a strong, unique password. Enable MFA for additional security. Report unauthorized access to info@cookwow.fun immediately.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites not owned by CookWoW. We are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices.

11. Reporting Abuse and Violations

Report violations using the report button on content, profiles, and comments, or contact info@cookwow.fun. We investigate all reports and respond within 48 hours. You will not be penalized for good-faith reports.

12. Content Moderation and Removal

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these Terms. Content may be removed without prior notice for clear violations, legal requirements, or safety concerns. Creators will be notified with the reason. Appeals accepted within 14 days at info@cookwow.fun. Repeated violations may result in account termination.

13. Age Restrictions

The Platform is not intended for children under 13. Users between 13 and 18 may use it with parental consent. Creator accounts require the user to be 18+.

14. Mobile App End-User License

This section applies when you access the Platform through our mobile application. The iOS app is distributed on the Apple App Store. The Android app is distributed on Google Play. Payment behavior differs by platform — see Section 15 below for details. By installing or using the mobile app, you agree to the following additional terms:

• This license is granted between you and CookWoW only — not between you and Apple Inc. or Google LLC. CookWoW (not Apple or Google) is solely responsible for the mobile app, its content, maintenance, support, and any claims relating to it (including product liability, consumer protection, intellectual property infringement, and regulatory compliance). • Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the mobile app. If you need support, contact us at info@cookwow.fun. • In the event the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app to you (note: the CookWoW app is free to download; iOS in-app subscriptions are governed by Section 15 below). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the iOS app. Equivalent terms apply to Google for the Android app. • You acknowledge that Apple (for the iOS app) and Google (for the Android app) are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the mobile app, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple and Google will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. • You represent and warrant that: (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. • You must comply with all applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the mobile app (e.g., your wireless data service agreement and the Apple/Google store terms of service). • The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded or Android-supported device that you own or control, and as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service or Google Play Terms of Service. • If you encounter an intellectual property infringement claim related to the mobile app, CookWoW (not Apple or Google) is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

15. In-App Subscriptions (Auto-Renewal Disclosure — iOS)

This disclosure applies to subscriptions purchased inside the iOS app through Apple In-App Purchase. On Android and on the web (cookwow.fun), subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Tap Payments) and follow the cancellation and refund terms in our Terms of Sale, not this section.

What's sold on iOS: a monthly CookWoW Wallet auto-top-up subscription. Each renewal automatically adds a fixed amount of credit (e.g., SAR 9.99) to your CookWoW Wallet. You then spend that credit on the Platform to subscribe to creators or unlock premium content. The wallet auto-top-up subscription itself does not give access to any specific creator or content — it just keeps your wallet funded.

• Subscription title: CookWoW Wallet Auto-Top-Up. • Length of subscription: One (1) month, recurring monthly. • Price per period: Displayed on the in-app purchase screen at the time of purchase, in your local currency as determined by Apple. Apple may equalize prices across territories using its published price tiers. • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and again at the start of each renewal period. • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. • Managing or cancelling your subscription: You can manage and cancel your wallet auto-top-up subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID account settings (iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. • What happens after cancellation: Cancelling the wallet auto-top-up does NOT immediately cancel your active creator subscriptions. Those continue to renew monthly from your existing wallet balance until the balance is exhausted, at which point they pause automatically. You can cancel creator subscriptions individually at any time from your billing screen. • No refund will be granted for the unused portion of any wallet auto-top-up period. Refund requests for App Store purchases must be made directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. CookWoW does not have the ability to issue refunds for purchases made through Apple. • Free trials (where offered): If you receive a free trial, you will be billed at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. • Price changes: Apple will notify you of any price increase. Continued use of the subscription after the increase constitutes acceptance; otherwise, the subscription will not renew. • Termination of CookWoW account: If your CookWoW account is terminated for cause, your Apple subscription does not automatically cancel — you must cancel through Apple to stop further billing. • Privacy: Information about how we use data from your in-app purchase is described in our Privacy Policy. • Legacy creator subscriptions: Users who originally subscribed to a creator on iOS through an earlier version of the app may have a legacy direct chef-subscription purchased through Apple. Those legacy subscriptions follow the same disclosure terms above and continue to renew through Apple until cancelled.

Wallet availability

CookWoW will provide at least 30 days' notice before terminating the Service in a manner that would render outstanding wallet balances unredeemable. During the notice period, you may continue to spend wallet credit on available creators and content. Wallet credit is not redeemable for cash on termination.

16. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms with 14 days notice via Platform notification and email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

17. Termination

Violations may result in: warning, temporary suspension (1-30 days), or permanent termination. Severe violations (illegal activity, harassment, fraud) result in immediate termination.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Riyadh.
