How CookWoW uses cookies, mobile SDKs, and similar technologies on our website and apps
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit CookWoW. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and mobile SDKs (software development kits) in our iOS and Android apps. Together these help the platform function, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and help us understand how the service is used.
We use four categories. (1) Essential — required to sign in, keep your session secure, process payments, and load core features; these cannot be switched off. (2) Functional — remember your language, country, theme, and other preferences. (3) Analytics — help us understand usage so we can improve CookWoW. (4) Advertising — used to measure and personalise the promotions and content you see, including via partners such as Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, secure your account, remember your locale and settings, deliver and measure marketing, detect fraud and abuse, and analyse and improve platform performance. Essential cookies are always active; non-essential cookies are used in line with your choices and applicable law.
Some cookies are set by trusted third parties that provide services on our behalf, including Firebase and Google (authentication, hosting, analytics, and push messaging), Tap Payments (payment processing), Google AdSense and social advertising partners (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat), and content-delivery and streaming providers. These parties process data under their own privacy policies.
In the CookWoW iOS and Android apps we use mobile SDKs and device identifiers instead of browser cookies. These support sign-in, push notifications (via Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service), crash and performance monitoring, and analytics. You can manage notification and tracking permissions in your device settings, and on iOS through App Tracking Transparency.
You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before they are set. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of CookWoW from working. On mobile, manage permissions and ad tracking in your device settings. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.
Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies and similar technologies, we obtain it before they are used. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its regulations issued by SDAIA. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how to exercise these rights.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or how we operate. The latest version is always available on this page, and we will communicate material changes through the platform.
For any questions about this Cookie Policy or your data, please reach out to us at info@cookwow.fun. Our support team typically responds within 24 hours.
