Please select your country to view the applicable Terms of Sale for your region.
These Terms of Sale govern all transactions conducted through the CookWoW platform ("the Platform"). CookWoW acts as a marketplace facilitator connecting buyers with independent creators and sellers. By making a purchase on the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to all purchases, subscriptions, orders, and service transactions on the Platform, including: digital content (recipes, videos, courses), creator subscriptions, farm product purchases, meal orders, nutritionist consultations, food lab testing, professional tasting sessions, store product purchases, and live auction wins.
The Platform facilitates transactions for:
• Digital Content — Recipes, cooking videos, food instructions, behind-the-scenes content, guest tastings, nutrition content, and food reviews. Access is granted immediately upon purchase. • Courses — Structured cooking courses with video lessons. Access granted upon enrollment. • Subscriptions — Monthly recurring access to a creator's premium content. Auto-renews unless cancelled. • Farm Products — Physical agricultural products (produce, artisanal goods) shipped by farmers. Subject to availability and shipping timelines. • Meal Orders — Cooked meals prepared by chefs/home cooks, ordered through cooking video content. Subject to delivery area, preparation time, and availability. • Consultations — Paid sessions with nutritionists for dietary advice. Scheduled and conducted through the Platform. • Food Lab Testing — Professional food safety and quality testing services. Submitted and results delivered through the Platform. • Tasting Sessions — Professional food tasting and feedback services. • Store Products — Redeemable products from the WoW Store, purchasable with money or gamification points. • Live Auction Items — Farm products won through live auction during Peeks livestreams.
Prices are set by creators and sellers in their configured payout currency. All prices are displayed in the relevant currency at checkout. Value Added Tax (VAT) is applied at the rate applicable to the creator's country (15% for Saudi Arabia). VAT is calculated and displayed separately at checkout. The total amount charged includes the product price plus applicable VAT. Prices may change at any time, but changes do not affect existing orders or active subscriptions until renewal. We do not guarantee price accuracy from third-party sources.
The CookWoW Wallet lets you pay for digital purchases on the Platform — creator subscriptions, content unlocks, and courses. You add credit to the wallet in advance and use it whenever you want. Wallet credit is shown in the currency of the creator you support and is not redeemable for cash or transferable between accounts.
You can add credit to your wallet at any time. On iOS, top-ups go through Apple's In-App Purchase. On web and Android, they go through our card processor (Tap Payments). The amount you'll pay and the credit you'll receive are shown before you confirm. On iOS, Apple's standard fee is deducted before the credit reaches your wallet — the credit amount is shown up front. Wallet credit never expires.
To subscribe to a creator, set up a monthly auto-top-up first. This adds credit to your wallet automatically every month so your creator subscriptions can renew. You can cancel the auto-top-up at any time — on iOS in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, on web in your billing settings. If you cancel it, your active creator subscriptions keep renewing from your existing balance until it runs out, then pause automatically.
Refunds for wallet top-ups go through whoever processed your original payment — Apple for iOS top-ups, our card processor (Tap Payments) for web and Android. Start an Apple refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; contact CookWoW support for a Tap refund. When a refund goes through, the equivalent credit is removed from your wallet balance. If the deduction takes your balance below zero, active creator subscriptions in that currency pause automatically until you top up again.
A creator subscription is a separate monthly purchase paid from your wallet credit in the creator's currency. The seller is the creator. You need an active monthly auto-top-up in the same currency, with enough monthly credit to cover this and any existing creator subscriptions you have in that currency. The first month is taken right away; each renewal is taken every 30 days. If your wallet runs short at renewal, the subscription pauses and we notify you. You can pause, resume, or cancel any creator subscription at any time from your wallet and subscriptions screen.
Unlocking a piece of content or enrolling in a course is a one-time purchase paid from your wallet credit. The seller is the creator. The unlock is permanent unless the creator or the Platform removes the content. The price shown at the moment you unlock is the price that applies. Free content stays free and does not affect your wallet.
Your wallet uses the currency of the creator you support, not your own location. For example, if you support a creator whose payout currency is SAR, your wallet for that creator is in SAR no matter where you live. Apple (on iOS) and our card processor (on web and Android) handle the equivalent local-currency charge and any foreign-exchange conversion at top-up time. CookWoW does no further currency conversion.
Creators receive 90% of every wallet purchase; CookWoW keeps 10% to run the Platform. On iOS top-ups, Apple keeps their standard fee (currently 30%) before the credit reaches your wallet — you'll see the credit amount before you confirm. On web and Android top-ups, CookWoW does not add any extra fee.
On the web (cookwow.fun), payments are processed through Tap Payments (credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Mada) and PayPal. By submitting payment, you authorize us to charge the specified amount. All payments are final and processed in real-time. Failed payments will not create an order. Saved card payments may be used for subscription renewals with your prior authorization. We do not store full payment card details — this is handled by our PCI DSS-compliant payment processors.
Purchases made inside our iOS app are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase. Purchases inside our Android app and on the web (cookwow.fun) are processed by Tap Payments under Section 4 above. The following terms apply to iOS in-app purchases:
• Apple (not CookWoW) collects payment, issues the receipt, and handles your billing relationship. Your payment instrument, billing address, and Apple ID email are held by Apple. • Apple retains a commission of up to 30% (15% for small-business or second-year subscriptions where applicable) of the purchase price. Creator earnings on iOS purchases are calculated on the net amount remitted to CookWoW by Apple, not on the gross amount you paid. • Prices shown in the iOS app are set in your local currency by Apple based on its published App Store price tiers and may differ from prices shown on the website due to store rounding, regional VAT inclusion, or currency conversion. • Subscription auto-renewal, billing cycle, and cancellation behavior are governed by Apple's App Store Terms of Service — see also Section 15 (In-App Subscriptions) of our Terms of Use. • Cancellation: You must cancel iOS subscriptions through Apple ID Settings (apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). CookWoW cannot cancel an active App Store subscription on your behalf. • Refunds: Refund requests for iOS in-app purchases must be submitted to Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com. CookWoW does not have the technical ability to issue refunds for Apple purchases. If Apple approves a refund, our webhook will revoke access automatically. • Restore Purchases: If you reinstall the iOS app or sign in on a new device, use the "Restore Purchases" option (Profile → My Orders) to re-grant access to prior purchases. • Family Sharing: Apple Family Sharing is not supported for CookWoW subscriptions — purchases are tied to the single Apple ID that made them. • Sandbox testing: TestFlight builds use Apple's sandbox environment. Sandbox purchases are not real transactions and do not grant access in production.
CookWoW holds creator earnings in escrow to protect both buyers and sellers:
• Content and subscription purchases: Released to creator wallet immediately. • Custom requests and meal orders: Held in escrow until buyer approves completion. • Consultations, tasting sessions, food lab tests: Held until service completion or 24 hours after delivery. • Farm product orders: Held for 24 hours after order confirmation. • Affiliate commissions: Held for 7 days to protect against returns. • Live auction wins: Released after payment confirmation and product shipment.
A platform fee of 10% is deducted from all transactions. Creators can withdraw their available balance to a verified bank account or PayPal. Withdrawal requests are processed by admin and funds transferred within 5-7 business days. One withdrawal per month is permitted by default.
Wallet-funded purchases (creator subscriptions, content unlocks, and courses paid from the CookWoW Wallet) follow the same rules above for the creator's share: 90% of the wallet-debited amount is added to the creator's Earnings Wallet immediately on purchase, and is withdrawable through the same payout process. The buyer's wallet balance is debited at the same instant.
Digital content (recipes, videos, courses): Delivered immediately upon purchase via the Platform.
Farm products: Shipped by the farmer to the buyer's provided address. Delivery times vary based on location, product type, and shipping method selected at checkout. The farmer is responsible for packaging, shipping, and delivery timeline accuracy.
Meal orders: Prepared and delivered by the chef/home cook within the agreed timeframe and delivery area.
Consultations: Scheduled through the Platform. The nutritionist is responsible for attending at the agreed time.
CookWoW is not responsible for delivery delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
Refund policies vary by transaction type:
• Digital content: Non-refundable after access is granted, unless the content is materially defective (corrupted file, missing content). Refund requests within 7 days of purchase. • Courses: Refundable within 7 days of enrollment if no lessons have been accessed. • Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. No refund for the current billing period. Access continues until the end of the paid period. • WoW Store products (kitchen tools and durable goods): Returnable within 7 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging with all tags and accessories. Defective or damaged items: report within 48 hours with photos for a free replacement or full refund. • Farm products: Refundable within 24 hours of delivery if the product is materially different from the listing description. Buyer must provide photographic evidence. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility unless the product was misrepresented. • Meal orders: Refundable if the order is not delivered within the agreed timeframe, or if the food is materially different from the description. • Consultations: Cancellation with full refund if cancelled 24+ hours before the scheduled time. 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours. No refund for no-shows. • Food lab tests and tasting sessions: Same cancellation policy as consultations.
All refund requests must be submitted through the Platform or by contacting info@cookwow.fun. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Creators and sellers must:
• Provide accurate and complete product/service descriptions. • Ship physical products within the stated timeframe. • Respond to buyer inquiries within 48 hours. • Comply with all applicable food safety, health, and labeling regulations in their jurisdiction. • Maintain accurate pricing and availability information. • Honor menu voting commitments in good faith. • Declare restaurant ownership honestly. • Not sell prohibited items (alcohol, tobacco, controlled substances, weapons, or any illegal products).
Buyers must:
• Provide accurate shipping addresses for physical product orders. • Pay the full amount at checkout, including applicable taxes. • Collect or receive delivered products in a timely manner. • Not abuse the refund system or file fraudulent disputes. • Respect intellectual property — purchased content is for personal use only and may not be redistributed, resold, or publicly shared without the creator's permission. • Report genuine issues promptly through the Platform.
CookWoW operates as a marketplace facilitator. WE ARE NOT THE SELLER, MANUFACTURER, OR PROVIDER OF ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES LISTED ON THE PLATFORM. We facilitate transactions between independent buyers and sellers. We do not:
• Inspect, test, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of products or services. • Verify the accuracy of product descriptions, nutritional information, or health claims. • Guarantee delivery timelines or product availability. • Provide food safety certification or health endorsements. • Act as an employer of creators — all creators are independent contractors.
Our liability is limited to the proper functioning of the Platform and payment processing.
Funds you hold in your CookWoW Wallet are held on your behalf to pay for purchases from creators on the Platform. CookWoW does not become the seller of those purchases by holding the funds — the seller remains the creator in every case.
CookWoW is NOT liable for:
• Allergic reactions, food poisoning, or any health issues resulting from consuming food products, following recipes, or taking nutritional advice obtained through the Platform. • The accuracy of allergen labeling, nutritional information, or ingredient lists provided by creators. • The safety or quality of farm products, meal orders, or any physical food items. • Health outcomes from following nutritional consultations or dietary advice. • Lab test accuracy or methodology.
Users with food allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions should exercise caution and consult qualified healthcare professionals before consuming products or following advice from the Platform.
Nutritionists, food lab testers, and tasters on the Platform are independent professionals, not employees of CookWoW. We do not verify their professional credentials, licenses, or qualifications. Users are advised to verify professional credentials independently before relying on their services. CookWoW is not liable for the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of services provided through the Platform.
Live auctions during Peeks livestreams are binding:
• Placing a bid constitutes a binding offer to purchase at the bid amount. • The highest bidder when the auction ends wins the item. • Winners must complete payment within 30 minutes of winning. • If the winner fails to pay, the item may be offered to the second-highest bidder. • Auction manipulation (shill bidding, bid retraction after winning) is prohibited and will result in account termination. • CookWoW is not responsible for the condition of auctioned items upon delivery — the same refund policies for farm products apply.
Creators may earn affiliate commissions by promoting store products. Commissions are calculated as a percentage of the sale price (set per product by the product owner). Commissions are held in escrow for 7 days to protect against returns and chargebacks. Affiliate promotions must be clearly disclosed to comply with advertising standards. Commission invoices are generated automatically for tax purposes.
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider, we will investigate the claim. Fraudulent chargebacks (where the product/service was delivered as described) may result in account suspension and collection of the disputed amount. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks with the payment processor and provide evidence of delivery/access. Repeated chargeback abuse will result in permanent account termination.
Chargebacks against wallet top-ups are processed by the original payment provider (Apple for iOS top-ups, Tap Payments for web and Android). If a chargeback succeeds on a top-up whose credit has already been spent, your wallet balance is reduced by the refunded amount and may go below zero. While your wallet balance is negative, active creator subscriptions in that currency are automatically paused until the balance recovers through a new top-up.
Transaction disputes between buyers and sellers should first be resolved directly between the parties through the Platform's messaging system. If unresolved within 7 days, either party may escalate to CookWoW support at info@cookwow.fun. CookWoW will review the dispute and may make a binding decision including: issuing a refund, releasing escrow funds, or determining no action is needed. Our dispute resolution decision is final for disputes under 500 SAR. For larger disputes, parties may pursue arbitration as described in our Terms of Service.
For wallet-funded purchases (creator subscriptions, content unlocks, courses), our dispute resolution decision may include re-crediting your wallet from the creator's earnings (an instant in-platform adjustment) or recommending you request a refund of the underlying top-up via Apple or our card processor. CookWoW does not issue direct cash refunds for wallet-funded purchases — refunds of the original payment always flow back through the provider that processed it.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COOKWOW'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY TRANSACTION-RELATED CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PLATFORM FEE COLLECTED ON THAT SPECIFIC TRANSACTION. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR: PRODUCT QUALITY, DELIVERY DELAYS, SELLER FRAUD, FOOD SAFETY ISSUES, HEALTH OUTCOMES, OR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
Creators are responsible for reporting and paying their own income taxes on earnings from the Platform. VAT or sales tax may apply depending on the creator's tax registration and jurisdiction. Where the creator is VAT-registered, VAT is charged at the rate applicable to that transaction; the creator is responsible for remitting it. CookWoW does not collect VAT on transactions for which it is not the registered seller. Invoices are generated for all transactions and available for download through the Platform. Creators should maintain their own tax records and consult a tax professional regarding their obligations in their jurisdiction.
Adding credit to your CookWoW Wallet is not, by itself, a taxable supply. Wallet credit is held on your behalf for future purchases from creators. The taxable event (if any applies) occurs at the moment the wallet is debited for a specific creator's product or service, with the creator as the seller of that supply.
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Consumer Protection Law and E-Commerce Law apply. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Riyadh.
