How earning and paying works on CookWoW - a complete guide for creators and users.

To operate, maintain, and grow the CookWoW platform, we apply a 10% platform fee (calculated on the pre-VAT subtotal) to all successful transactions. Additionally, a 15% VAT is included in the customer's payment for transactions in Saudi Arabia. Creators receive the full payment amount (including VAT) minus only the platform fee. Creators are responsible for reporting and remitting VAT to the relevant tax authorities in accordance with local regulations.
When a buyer purchases inside the iOS app, Apple retains its own commission (up to 30%, or 15% for small-business or second-year subscriptions where eligible) before the funds reach CookWoW. Our 10% platform fee is applied to the net amount we receive from Apple, not the gross price the buyer paid. Android-app purchases and web purchases (cookwow.fun) use Tap Payments and are not subject to any app-store commission.
Example: A SAR 100 subscription on iOS may yield ~SAR 70 to CookWoW after Apple's 30% cut. Our 10% platform fee then applies to that net, leaving ~SAR 63 to the creator (vs. SAR 90 on an Android or web purchase). Exact amounts depend on Apple's price tiers in your region.
When a viewer redeems wallet credit for one of your subscriptions or premium content items, 90% of the wallet-debited amount is credited to your Earnings Wallet (CookWoW retains 10% as a platform fee). Earnings from wallet purchases are added to your existing Earnings Wallet alongside any earnings from legacy subscription payments, and are withdrawable through the same payout pipeline. Note: your Earnings Wallet (which holds money earned and is withdrawable to your bank account) is separate from any Spending Wallet you may hold as a viewer (which holds prepaid credit and is not withdrawable).
